Bij een Surinaamse band wordt waarschijnlijk niet snel gedacht aan de bijzondere show van D’Orkest. Hun eigen repertoire, gezongen in het Portugees, Frans, Engels en traditionele Aukaans voert je mee door de meest uiteenlopende muziekstijlen. Met invloeden uit geheel Zuid-Amerika en uiteraard Suriname; van Rock tot Reggae, van Funk tot Indie-pop. Het 8 koppige D’Orkest weet in hun show de diverse muzikale en culturele roots samen te laten komen in een meeslepende show die niet te weerstaan is. Deze zomer is D’Orkest in Nederland voor hun debuut op speciale uitnodiging van het Amsterdamse Kwaku Festival. Een uitgelezen kans om ook Groningen en Em2 te laten genieten van een ongetwijfeld swingend en overgetelijk optreden.

The band is ready to embark on their first international show! After months of preparation, the group is finally departing for French Guiana for a series of performances. This will be their first time performing in front of an international audience and they are excited to share their music with the world.This show will be a great opportunity for the band to show off their skills and gain more exposure. They have been working hard to perfect their sound and now they get to show it off in a new country. It’s sure to be an incredible experience that they’ll never forget!
